Ngao District

Amphoe Ngao ( Thai อำเภอ งาว ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northeastern province of Lampang. The Lampang Province is located in the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise): Amphoe Mae the Mo, Chae Hom Wang Nuea of Lampang Province, Mueang Phayao Province Phayao and Doc Khamtai and Song Phrae province.

The 1284.9 km ² Tham Pha Thai National Park ( Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ ถ้ำ ผา ไท ) lies partly in the district Ngao.

Management

The circle is divided into ten subdistricts (tambon ), which are divided further into 78 villages ( Muban ).

Hon Wang Nuea is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district. It consists of the Tambon Luang Nuea.

In addition, there are nine " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
