NGC 2859 is a barred spiral galaxy of type SB0 -a and lies in the constellation Little Lion. The galaxy has an angular extent of 4.3 ' × 3.8 ' and an apparent magnitude of 10.9 like; she was discovered on 28 March 1786 by William Herschel.
