The Ngong Hills

The Ngong Hills are a range of hills in the Rift Valley southwest of Nairobi. The word comes from the Ngong Maa (the language of Maassai ) and ankle means and refers to the four characteristic peaks of the hills. The highest of these peaks is located at 2460 meters above the sea. At the foot of the Ngong Hills Ngong town is located.

In the Ngong hills is also the grave of Denys Finch Hatton, to find the lover of the Danish farmer and author Karen Blixen. Bookmarked it is with an obelisk and a bronze plate with a verse from the poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
