Nguyễn Hồng Quang

Nguyễn Quang Hồng is an attorney, civil rights activist and a Mennonite pastor in Vietnam.

Nguyễn Quang Hồng is married to Le Thi Phu Dung and father of three children. He is vice chairman of the Mennonite Church of Vietnam. Nguyen sat down in his role as a lawyer and pastor for the right to freedom of religion and joined ( Montagnards ) for the rights of Vietnamese hill tribes in.

Nguyen was sentenced in November 2004 because of resistance to state violence to three years in prison after he displayed two people, the Christians had abused and kidnapped. He then sat in five prisons. The House of the Nguyen family in Ho Chi Minh City, where was also a Mennonite meeting room, was heavily damaged in July 2005 by the Vietnamese authorities. In August 2005, Quang was released early from prison after international protests.

Since 14 December 2010, Nguyen Hong Quang is again in custody. At the same time the residence of the civil rights leader was completely destroyed.
