NHK Hall

The NHK Hall (Japanese NHKホール, enu eichi no HorU; . Engl NHK Hall ) is a concert hall at the NHK Hoso Center ( " NHK broadcasting center "; engl NHK Broadcasting Center. ), The headquarters of the broadcasting company NHK in Shibuya Prefecture Tokyo, Japan. The hall is the venue for the NHK Symphony Orchestra and events such as the Japan Music Awards (1979 ), the Kohaku Uta Gassen and concerts.

History

1955, the first NHK Hall was opened in Tokyo's Uchisaiwaicho. With the relocation of the headquarters of NHK, and the construction of the NHK Broadcasting Center, there is also a new concert hall was built. The construction work on the new building began in 1972 and on 20 June 1973, opened the concert hall.

The acoustics of the hall was established as the first of Minoru Nagata, later by Nagata Onkyo Sekkei (English Nagata Acoustics ), while TOA provided the sound equipment available. Overall, the NHK Hall has seating for 3,800 people.
