Nibbiano

Nibbiano is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2260 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Piacenza in Emilia -Romagna. The community is located about 45 kilometers southwest of Piacenza on Tidone and directly borders the province of Pavia. Nibbiano is the administrative seat of the Comunità Montana del valle Tidone. Within the area of the artificial Lago di Trebecco, which has a capacity of about 12.5 million cubic meters of water is. The water supply is used for irrigation and hydroelectric power generation.

History
