Nibble (magazine)

Nibble was an American computer magazine for the Apple II computer. Main theme of the magazine was the programming of the computer. The magazine title means half a byte, or four bits, the slogan was The Magazine for Apple II Enthusiasts. Most of the articles of nibble contained the listing of a program that was either an application, a utility for the computer or a game. In addition, the article described the detailed operation of the program.

The magazine was first published in January 1980 by Mike Harvey. Originally it was published eight times a year. From 1984, the magazine was so successful that the publisher could afford to publish the magazine monthly. It was brought out for another twelve years, and the last edition was published in July 1992. An extension of the magazine was the Macintosh publication Nibble Mac, which at first was part of the original magazine and was later published separately.
