Niccolò Ammaniti

Niccolò Ammaniti ( born September 25, 1966 in Rome ) is an Italian writer.

Life

Ammaniti is part of the Italian writers group I Cannibali (, The Cannibals '), at whose anthology Gioventù Cannibale he has a story he wrote with Luisa Brancaccio, participated.

After publications of essays and short stories he succeeded in Italy with L'ultimo capodanno ( German title: The last night on the islands ') of the breakthrough. Many of his works provided the template for movies, as well as the book that is still regarded as his most famous: Io non ho paura ( I 'm not afraid '). The novel was made ​​into a film released in 2001 by the Oscar- winning director Gabriele Salvatores in 2002 ( see: I have no fear).
