Niceto Alcalá-Zamora

Niceto Alcalá Zamora y Torres [ niθeto ALKALA θamoɾa ] (* July 6, 1877 in Priego de Córdoba, † February 18, 1949 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) was a Spanish fairly liberal politician and first president of the Second Republic.

Zamora y Torres founded in 1930 Derecha Liberal, Republican ( Republican Liberal rights ), then the Partido Republicano Progresista (PRP - Progressive Republican Party ). In 1931, he was instrumental in the abolition of the monarchy, was a short period of provisional head of government, then from 1931 to 1936 the first President of the Second Republic.
