Nichinan, Miyazaki

Nichinan (Japanese日 南市, - shi) is a Japanese city in Miyazaki Prefecture on the southern Japanese island of Kyushu.

Geography

Nichinan is located north of Kushima and south of Miyazaki on the Pacific Ocean.

History

The city was founded on 1 January 1950. On 30 March 2009, it merged with Kitago (北 郷 町, -chō ) and nango (南 郷 町, -chō ) from the district Minaminaka -gun to the new city Nichinan. The county was thereupon be dissolved.
