Nicholas Barbon

(: , * In 1640 in London as the If- Jesus-Christ -Had -Not- Died -For- Thee- Thou - hadst -Been - Damned Barebone; † around 1698 in Osterley House, Middlesex Barebon or barebones as well) was Nicholas Barbon an English economist.

Barbon studied medicine at Leiden University and received his doctorate in medicine in 1661 at the University of Utrecht. He was involved in the building of London after the Great Fire in 1666 and the establishment of a fire insurance in England around 1680.
