Nicholas Fairall

Nicholas Fairall ( born July 6, 1989 in New London, New Hampshire) is an American ski jumper.

Career

At the age of 13 years Fairall jumped for the first time in the Continental Cup, but reached only a 42nd place. Even with two FIS races in the summer of 2004 he scored no outstanding results, instead it was all the same once Twentieth. After he had become at the Junior World Championship 2005 in Rovaniemi with the team finished eleventh, he took part in another jump in the FIS Cup third-rate. There, he convinced several times and reached an eleventh rank as the best result. By this good finishes, he qualified for the 2005/06 season again for the Continental Cup, where he gained his first points with a 28th place. In March 2007 he was again at the Junior World Championships in Tarvisio at the start, worsened with the team, however, on the 14th. Previously, he however still an eighth rank succeeded in the FIS Cup competition in Zakopane.

In Continental Cup 2007/ 08 Fairall jumped mostly behind, his best result was a 37th place. For this he was able to convince at the Junior World Championship 2008 in Zakopane with the team in eighth. During the summer of 2008, the Americans played several good jumping in summer -COC, among other things, he was once Thirteenth and came three times in the points. Because of these achievements, he represented alongside Anders Johnson, the small ski- nation of the United States in the World Cup and Four Hills Tournament 2008/09. There he failed as Johnson almost always in qualifying because he could not jump into the top 50. Only at the competition in Garmisch -Partenkirchen, he survived this selection round, but he managed not to compete against Michael watch men in competition. The tour he finished 65th in the overall standings as a place behind compatriot Johnson. Surprisingly, he qualified for his first ski jumping at Kulm for the competition, he also reached there on both days the second round and took as 23 and 24 his first World Cup points. Fairall 2009 took part in Nordic World Ski Championships, but failed to qualify in Liberec on ​​the normal and large hill for the final.

At the U.S. Championships on October 1, 2011 in Fox River Grove, he finished behind Anders Johnson to second place.
