Nicholas Monroe
Benjamin Nicholas Monroe ( born April 12, 1982 in Oklahoma City ) is an American tennis player.
Career
Nicholas Monroe plays mainly on the ATP Challenger Tour in doubles. He previously won seven titles with different partners. In individual he succeeded so far been no victory in this category, but he has already won eleven times in tournaments of the ITF Futures Tour, a lower category than the ATP Challenger Tour. In recent years he has continuously improved its ranking position in a double and managed in 2012 made it into the Top 100, which enabled him also participation in tournaments on the ATP World Tour. So he reached the U.S. Open in 2012 with his partner Donald Young, the second round after the duo have received a wildcard.
His biggest career success celebrated Nicholas Monroe in July 2013 in Båstad, when he won the doubles competition of the World Tour tournament against Carlos Berlocq and Albert Ramos together with Simon Stadler. On the side of Stadler, with whom he had previously won four Challenger tournaments, he was failed in February of the same year in Buenos Aires in the final of the Italian Fabio Fognini and Simone Bolelli. In the double world ranking, he was listed after the tournament victory on rank 60, its highest ranking so far.
