Nicholas Pileggi

Nicholas "Nick" Pileggi ( born February 22, 1933, New York City, New York) is an American journalist and writer.

As his most important work published in 1986 is considered the Wise Guy. It was founded in 1990 by Martin Scorsese titled Goodfellas - filmed three decades in the Mafia. The joint work on the script brought a both an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay, as well as other film awards and nominations for film awards. Scorsese also filmed in 1995 Pileggi's book Casino, which tells the career Frank Rosenthal in Las Vegas.

In the movie American Gangster from 2007 Pileggi was involved as executive producer.

Nicholas Pileggi was married to the late 2012 screenwriter Nora Ephron since 1987.
