Nicholas Sparks

Nicholas Charles Sparks ( born December 31, 1965 in Omaha, Nebraska) is an American writer.

Life

Nicholas Sparks' family frequently moved their place of residence. She moved from Omaha to Minnesota in 1969 to Los Angeles from there for a year to Grand Iceland (Nebraska ), and finally to Fair Oaks, California.

Nicholas Sparks received after finishing school in 1984 an athletics scholarship to the University of Notre Dame ( Notre Dame, Indiana). After completing his undergraduate studies in 1988 he failed to gain admission to law school. Since his first two novels, which he had written while studying, had been rejected, he made ​​his way with different jobs. Among other things, he worked as a real estate agent, renovated houses, worked as a waiter and telemarketers, until he founded his own small firm, however, had to contend sometimes with financial difficulties and was sold. He is married to his wife Catherine ( Cathy ) since 1989 and lives in North Carolina, where most of his novels are set. The couple has five children: Landon, Miles, Ryan, Lexie, and Savannah. The names of his children used Sparks for the main characters of his books ( the name Miles Ryan in the way of dreams, Landon Carter in A Walk to Remember - A Walk to Remember, Savannah Curtis in Dear John and Lexie Darnell in The proximity of Heaven / The Miracle of the moment ). Even after his wife a book character was named ( in wide as the sea ).
