Nick de Jong (footballer)

Nick de Jong ( born September 26, 1989 in Hoofddorp ) is a Dutch football player. Since the summer of 2008, the striker is the pro squad of the Dutch first division club FC Utrecht.

Career

De Jong learned the ABC football with his hometown club SV Hoofddorp. In the summer of 2006, the Scouts of AZ Alkmaar drew him in the youth department. Two years later, the attacker decided a change. At the start of the Eredivisie season 2008/ 09 slipped de Jong in the professional squad of FC Utrecht. On 5 October 2008, he finally made ​​his debut in the highest Dutch league. In the 3-0 win over Twente Enschede at the same time, he scored his first professional hit. He was one of the players of the past months that could score a goal in their League Premiere by Randy Wolters and Rafael Uiterloo. In the course of the season, de Jong was active mostly for the reserve team of the club.
