Nick Frost

Nicholas John "Nick" Frost ( born March 28, 1972 in Romford, Essex ) is a British actor and screenwriter. Frost is best known for his collaboration with director Edgar Wright and actor Simon Pegg.

Career

Nick Frost was born in 1972 in Romford, Essex. When he was 16 years old, his father's company went bankrupt. Frost soon left school to earn money for the family. After that, he lived for two years in Israel on a kibbutz. After his return to England he worked as a waitress in a cafe, where he met Simon Pegg.

First successes came in his role as Mike in the British television series Spaced. In 2002, wrote and produced the television series Danger Nick Frost! 50,000 Volts! In 2004, he starred alongside Simon Pegg of his first major movie role in the film Shaun of the Dead. For this role, Frost at the British Independent Film Awards was a nomination as " Best Newcomer" considered. After several more television roles played frost his next movie role in the comedy Kinky Boots - Man (n) is wearing boots. In 2006, Frost took over the Commander Henderson in the comedy show Hyperdrive. His other screenplay credits include, among others, Simon's Cam. In 2007 he took a leading role in the British comedy Hot Fuzz, where he appeared again at the side of Pegg. Also in the sci-fi comedy Paul - An alien on the run from the year 2011 were Frost and Pegg on together. 2013, he joined with Pegg on in Edgar Wright's science-fiction film The World's End, which closed the Blood -and- Ice- Cream trilogy.

In Steven Spielberg's and Peter Jackson's animated film The Adventures of Tintin - The Secret of the Unicorn Frost took over the role of the bumbling police Schulze. The role of the partner Schultze was played by Simon Pegg.

Private life

Frost is also private friends with Simon Pegg. Both lived before her film career together in a shared flat.

Frost is married to television producer Mariangela Frost and lives in Twickenham, West London. On June 22, 2011 their son was born.
