Comments by Raitt

In the year 1989:

" I wanted to make a recording that was similar to Give It Up. It is a journey back to the roots. It was very refreshing for me to play a lot of guitar and produce the title ... In many ways it is like a first album. It is for a new record company and it gets all the attention and criticism. And it's my first album for a new era ... "

In 1991, to winning her three Grammy Awards:

"It was so unlikely. I imagined, I get the rock -Female Grammy, but that I would win three Grammys at once, I could not imagine: Ok Bonnie. You've got a new record deal, you write your own songs, which at - hallelujah - come close; We'll give you a price. ' I was not at the award ceremony after the album was excellent in its category. Ella Fitzgerald read my name! I mean, for me it was the greatest honor. "
