Nick Park

Nick Park Nicholas Wulstan Park actually CBE, ( born December 6, 1958 in Preston, Lancashire ) is a British animator.

Life

Early on, he shows great interest in drawing cartoons and begins at the age of 13 years with the first animation and film studies. In 1985 he starts in Bristol at Aardman Animations. The creator of Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep gained first fame by his chicken animation in the video clip of Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer hit. He uses clay animation, the elaborate stop-motion technique with plasticine modeling clay on a structure made ​​of wire frames and plastic. For about three seconds of film a full day of shooting is required.

He has been nominated for four Academy Awards, three animated for the best short film and in 2006 for Best animated feature film. The Wallace Gromit short film on the life and bread brought Park 2010, another Oscar nomination.
