At this time there were only Lord and Simper members of the group. As they desperately sought a guitarist and Nick had met with " Screaming Lord Sutch " such named Ritchie Blackmore, it was engaged. The foundation stone of " Roundabout " was laid.

After Ritchie Blackmore still got to complete the band a well-known drummer named him Ian Paice in the band, which still brought also equal to a singer named Rod Evans, the basic formation of Deep Purple was formed.
