Nicola Berti

Nicola Berti ( born April 14, 1967 in Salsomaggiore Terme, near Parma ) is a retired Italian footballer.

Career

Nicola Berti was midfielder and member of the legendary inter- team to coach Giovanni Trapattoni, the 1988/89 won the Scudetto, the Italian title in the season. In total he played 311 games for the Nerazzurri, scoring 41 goals. He also won the UEFA Cup with Inter Milan 1990/91, 1993/94 and 1997 /98.

Prior to his time at Inter Milan he played at Fiorentina and at AC Parma. After his departure from Inter he played in England for Tottenham Hotspur, in Spain at Deportivo Alavés and Australia for Northern Spirit FC.

For the Italian national football team, he played between 1988 and 1995 a total of 39 matches in which he scored three goals. He participated in his native country and in 1994 in the USA at the World Championships in 1990.
