Nicolás Leoz

Nicolás Leoz Almirón ( born September 10, 1928 in Pirizal, Presidente Hayes, Paraguay) was 1986-2013 President of the South American Football Confederation Conmebol.

After he was confirmed to the Association Congress 2011 to 2015 in the office he resigned on April 23, 2013 from his office. From 1998 until his retirement he was also a member of the FIFA Executive Committee. He was awarded the FIFA Order of Merit in 2002.

During the investigations in connection with the bankruptcy of the sports marketing company International Sport and Leisure has announced that Leoz had assumed in his position as a senior FIFA official bribes the ISL between 1997 to 2000.
