Nicolas Limbach

Nicolas Limbach ( born December 29, 1985 in Eupen, Belgium ) is a German saber fencer, world champion in 2009 and six-time German champion.

Life and career

His biggest successes are the world champion title at the Junior World Championship 2005 in Linz / Austria, third place at the World Championships in the individual 2007 in Antalya, 2009, Mr. Sabre Individual World Championship, which he won after the final against the Romanians Rareş Dumitrescu. With the silver medal at the World Championships in Catania Limbach won his fourth world title in a row after precious metal bronze in 2007 in St. Petersburg, gold and silver in 2009 in Antalya, 2010 in Paris. Nicolas Limbach is thus the only German saber champion by Felix Becker, who in 1994 won the world championship.

Nicolas Limbach fights for TSV Bayer Dormagen. In addition to the sports Limbach studied since March 2006, International Business Administration, currently at the Hochschule Fresenius.
