Nidulariaceae

The nestling relatives ( Nidulariaceae ) were a family in the meantime also obsolete order of the nestling -like ( Nidulariales ). The genera contained therein are now counted among the mushroom relatives.

Features

The nestling relatives include small epigeal ( the substrate seated ) mushrooms. The spores are formed in one to several separate Peridiole (s), small 1-2 mm Glebakammern that are enclosed by a secondary peridium. This peridioles develop in an affiliated with the fruit body base Tramastrang, the funiculus, the mucus remains at maturity on the fruit body base and get to the Peridiole and serves the attachment of the ejected Peridole.

Genera

The family consisted of five genera with about 60 species worldwide.
