Niederfrohna is a village north-west of Chemnitz in the district of Zwickau in Saxony, Germany. It forms together with Limbach- Oberfrohna the administrative community Limbach- Oberfrohna.

Geography and transport
Niederfrohna located 6 km north of Limbach- Oberfrohna and extends left and right of the Glad Bach. Niederfrohna is accessible via a separate exit of the A72. The B 95 leads past the site. The place is also accessible from the south running A 4 ports Chemnitz -Mitte and Limbach- Oberfrohna. The highest elevation in the city is the Ochsenberg at Fichtigsthal with 366 meters height.

The documentary first mention of Niederfrohna than Reign of Henry and Jost of " Frohne " comes on 19 October 1236.
