Niederstaufenbach
Lower Taufenbach is a municipality in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Altenglan.
Geography
Lower Taufenbach lies in the western Palatinate between the Walbersberg and the Krämel. Through the town flows the Reichenbach. To the north is Bosenbach, to the south and west is Oberstaufenbach Föckelberg.

The local council in Lower Taufenbach consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
Coat of arms
The coat of arms shows a black shield with a golden shaft main beams, including a red, blue and blaubezungten reinforced lion on a gold field against a black rock. When the lion is the heraldic animal of Rhinegraves. Awareness was the coat of arms designed like the coat of arms of Oberstaufenbach. The approval was granted in 1976 by the District Government of Rheinhessen-Pfalz.
Economy and infrastructure
Lower Taufenbach is a commuter town. In the southwest is the A 62 in Altenglan is a station on the railway line Landstuhl - Kusel.
