Geography

Geographical location

Niedertaufkirchen located in Southeast Upper Bavaria in the tertiary hill country between the lowlands of Rott and Isen about five kilometers south of Neumarkt-Sankt Veit and twelve kilometers north of the county town Mühldorf. Due to the rural community area runs in a north -south direction the federal highway 299

History

Niedertaufkirchen belonged to Rentamt Landshut and the Neumarkt district court of the Electorate of Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

Incorporations

On 1 May 1978, until then independent municipality Rossbach was incorporated.

Economy, agriculture and forestry

There were 1998 in the field of agriculture and forestry not, in industry 58, and in trade and transport, no social insurance contributions at the workplace. In other areas, people were employed to social security at the workplace.
