Nielebock is a district of the city Jerichow district Jerichower Land in Saxony- Anhalt ( Germany ).

Geography

Nielebock lies on the northern edge of an extending between Parey and Rathenow forest area on the county road 1196th The road connects Nielebock with its neighboring towns Genthin the east and Ferch land in the west. Around the village flows the show trench, located on the opposite bank sprawling farmland.

History

Seedorf found its first mention in Lehnsverzeichnis the Magdeburg archbishopric of 1440, where it is called " Sedorp ". The list shows that at the brothers Gevehard and Hildebrand were enfeoffed of Plotho with the place. The settlement was probably named in connection with an old riverside castle Ihle, lowland castle. After taking possession of the Counts of Wartensleben this built on the foundations of the castle, a castle. With its high towers, double walls and moats, it was one of the strongest fortifications in Jerichower country. It was demolished after the Second World War.

The place name is of Slavic Nielebock and was formerly written " Nylebuck ". The village was first mentioned in documents in 1383. 1952 Seedorf was incorporated into Nielebock.

1910, Nielebock 261 inhabitants. The population increased to 1939 and 1964 to 273 had Nielebock together with Seedorf 390 inhabitants.

Until December 31, 2009 Nielebock was an independent municipality with the associated district Seedorf. Last Mayor Nielebocks was Marion Luderer. January 1, 2010 Nielebock was incorporated into the city Jerichow.
