Nienburg (district)

The Nienburg / Weser is a district in central Lower Saxony in the Middle Weser region in the district of Hanover. History

The old Prussian district Nienburg in 1885 formed by the union of the previous Office Nienburg in the sub- county Hoya with the official free city Nienburg.

In today's expansion of the county was created in 1977, when in the course of an administrative territorial reform fell, the eastern part of the county and the county of Hoya for dissolved district of Neustadt am Ruebenberge belonging to the municipality Rodewald Nienburg / Weser. The previously belonging to Nienburg community Wiedensahl was assigned to the district of Schaumburg. Railway
