The station Nienburg (Weser) is the City Nienburg / Weser rail station in the district in Lower Saxony.
History
In 1847 Nienburg received his station after the resident Nienburg royal Baurat Bruno Emanuel Quaet - Faslem had ensured that the railway line Wunstorf -Bremen was passed over Nienburg ( and not, as previously scheduled on Rethem ).
Received 1921 Nienburg with the railway line to Minden connection to the railway line towards the Ruhr.
The station building was destroyed in the last days of the war of 1945, after a fire hit a flier standing on the station premises munitions. The new station building was partly built in 1950-1957 on the ruins of the old structures.
General
The receiving station building houses a tourist center with ticket sales. Connected to the station building are a baked goods shop, a restaurant and a kiosk.
In the immediate vicinity there is the extent of the Park & Rail concept a car park with 479 parking spaces.
The Nienburg station has in the northern area of the station on a tower interlocking of type ' Sp Dr S60 ', which was put into operation in 1977.
In the immediate station environment, obtained two water towers found. The smaller (formerly German Railways) serves as an office building of a media company in the larger (formerly urban water tower), there are several rental housing.
At the station forecourt is the central bus station (ZOB). From here there are six regional lines of the transport company Nienburg after Steyerberg ( Line 10), Hoya (20, 30), Rodewald / Lichtenhorst (40) Loccum (50) and light ( 60). The metropolitan area is served by a city bus with four lines interconnected by a rendezvous concept. Lines 1 and 3 operate the station. The buses only run on weekdays until about 19:00 clock, on Saturdays, the operation ends at about 14:30 clock.
Transport links
The station Nienburg (Weser) is located on the railway line Wunstorf -Bremen. From this route branched here earlier three branch lines from. The rail links to Sulingen - Diepholz and after light - Rahden were shut down. The Weser -Aller -Bahn to Minden is served by regional trains in two- hour intervals.

Freight traffic
The station Nienburg (Weser) serves the freight for the most part as a transit station. Local handoffs are performed at regular intervals to / from the tank farm sheep farm down ( tank car with jet fuel ). Chance and at irregular intervals, at tank car trains to / from Liebenau. There are rail connections to the trade area ' Industrial Park North ' and the glass processing industry.
At present (2009) are locally ranked container trains of the SBB Cargo and reassembled what the extensive track systems are used on the west side of the station.
