Nietzsche-Haus, Naumburg

The Nietzsche House in Naumburg ( Saale) dedicated to the life and work of the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.

In the summer of 1858, the mother of Nietzsche moved with her children into the house No. 355, today Weingarten 18 She had rented a bright, spacious apartment upstairs. In 1878 she bought the house and remained there until her death in 1897 live.

Since 1994, the Naumburg Nietzsche House is open to the public. A permanent exhibition the life and work of the philosopher is documented, while the condition laid down in the showrooms house library gives the visitor the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of Nietzsche.

In October 2010, Nietzsche Documentation Center was opened. It is dedicated to the research and critical examination of Nietzsche reception.
