Nieuport 24

The Nieuport 24 C.1 was a French biplane single-seat fighter of the First World War.

Development

The Nieuport 24 was designed by Gustave Delage in the Societe Anonyme des Établissements Nieuport in Issy -les -Moulineaux based on the successful Nieuport 17. She had as yet these V-shaped wing - stems, but already the aerodynamically refined fuselage with oval cross section, rounded wingtips, and the rounded tail rudder and tailplane and the new tail skid later Nieuport aircraft.
