Nigel Codrington

Nigel Codrington ( born July 5, 1979 in Georgetown) is a footballer from Guyana, who plays for Campton Georgetown in the Football League from Guyana. He is considered one of the most significant national player in his home country where he is leading scorer. It is used as a striker.

Club career

Nigel Codrington began his career in 1989 at Rice University, at which he was able to celebrate successes as a high jumper. In 1990 he went to the capital club Campton Georgetown, in which he plays again today. After 13 years of football in Guyana, Codrington began his international career. From 2003 to 2009 he stood at a total of four clubs from North and Central America under contract. This includes clubs from Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and the U.S. third division Cleveland City Stars. In 2009, Codrington back to his youth club Campton Georgetown.

National

The striker played in 2001 his first international match for Guyana and has since become a regular player. To date, Nigel Codrington has completed 53 international matches in which he scored 23 goals. He is the current leading scorer in Guyana.
