Nigel Gibbs

Nigel James Gibbs ( born November 20, 1965 in St Albans ) is an English former football player and current coach.

Playing career

Nigel Gibbs played in his career as an active soccer player for a single club and completed in nearly 20 years, more than 400 league games for FC Watford. In 1983, he joined them as 17 -year-old into the professional business. The Watford FC had become in the preseason as a climber surprisingly Second, thus reaching the next sensational league placing for the first time to qualify for a European competition. In Watford's relegation season 1987 /88 right-back Gibbs graduated in 5 games for the English U-21 national team.

Coaching career

In 2005, Nigel Gibbs was briefly caretaker manager at Watford and was replaced by Adrian Boothroyd. Then he erworb UEFA coaching license and belongs since 2006 to the coaching staff of the first division club FC Reading. There, Gibbs was initially responsible for Nachwuchsabrbeit. From 2009 to 2013 he was the official coach of the reserve team.
