Nigeria Football Federation

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF ), former Nigeria Football Association is the governing body of football in Nigeria.

Revised resolution

June 30, 2010 drew Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan, the Nigerian national football team due to the preliminary round departure at the Football World Cup 2010 for two years from all international tournaments back and undid the NFF on for a new national team can be built up in peace. This is contrary to the statutes of the world governing body FIFA, which prohibits government interference in the affairs of the national associations. Therefore FIFA spokesman Nicolas Maingot presented to the President a few days later an ultimatum to July 5, 2010, to take back the decision. If this is not done, Nigeria would be suspended by the World Association.

Shortly before the expiration of the ultimatum on July 5 Nigerian President withdrew its lock on the teams and the dissolution of the Association.
