Nijūshiho

Nijushiho (Japanese二十 四 歩, dt 24 steps ), also Nīsēshī, a karate kata practiced in Shotokan and Shito- Ryu. Nijushiho is a kata of Niigaki School, whose origins lie in the Chinese Baihequan ( White Crane style). It was brought from the martial arts master Aragaki Seisho, who traveled in his capacity as a translator of Chinese Language of Ryukyu Court often to China to Okinawa. This sophisticated Kata is mainly characterized by flowing movements and an unusual step pattern. She has 24 positions and should be presented in about 60 seconds.
