Nikhom Kham Soi District

Amphoe Kham Soi Nikhom ( Thai อำเภอ นิคมคำสร้อย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the north of the province of Mukdahan. The Mukdahan province lies in the western part of the Northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts are (from west clockwise) Nong Sung, Mueang Mukdahan Province Mukdahan and Don Tan, Loeng Nok Tha in the province of Yasothon.

History

Nikhom Kham Soi was born on June 2, 1975 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the five Tambon Kham Soi Nikhom, Na Kok, Na Udom, Nong Waeng and Kok Daeng Amphoe Mueang Mukdahan were separated from. On March 25, 1979 Nikhom Kham Soi has been promoted to Amphoe. When in 1982 the new Mukdahan Province was created Nikhom Kham Soi was one of the counties from which the new province was originally.

Management

Amphoe Kham Soi Nikhom is divided into seven subdistricts (tambon ), which continued in 79 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

In Amphoe Kham Soi Nikhom there are two small towns ( Tambon thesaban ):

  • Nikhom Kham Soi ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นิคมคำสร้อย ) consists of parts of tambon Kham Soi Nikhom, Na Kok Chok Chai and,
  • Rom Klao ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ร่มเกล้า ) consists of the whole Tambon Rom Klao.

In addition, there are seven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
