Nikka Costa

Nikka Costa ( born June 4, 1972 in Tokyo as Domenica Costa) is an American singer and songwriter. She is the daughter of the late guitarist, arranger and record producer Don Costa.

Life

Nikka Costa was born in Tokyo, when her father just a guest there at a music festival. She grew up in Los Angeles, where she soon got in touch with the music through the activities of her father. Already in 1981 she took her first single in Italy ( Out Here ) On My Own on, a song from the musical film Fame ). The song was produced by her father Don Costa, who accompanied them on the guitar.
