Nikola Poposki

Nikola Poposki (born 24 October 1977 in Skopje) is since 2011 Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia.

Life

Poposki completed his undergraduate studies in economics at the University of Skopje and the University of Nice. His master he made in 2004 at the European University of Rennes and the University of Skopje. In 2005 he received his MBA at the College of Europe in Brussels.

Political action

Poposki is a member of VMRO -DPMNE. He first worked in the Macedonian Embassy in France (until 2004), before joining as a client manager for DEPFA Bank to Ireland in 2005. From 2006 to 2009 he was the team leader of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, and finally from 2010 to 2011 his country's ambassador to the European Union. In July 2011, he changed in the Cabinet as Foreign Minister Gruevski. As one of its main goals, he sees the solution to the name dispute with Greece.
