Nikolai Sologubov

Nikolai Mikhailovich Sologubow (Russian Николай Михайлович Сологубов; born March 8, 1924 in Moscow, Russian SFSR, † December 30, 1988 ) was a Soviet ice hockey player.

Career

During his career, played the defender at HK CSKA Moscow. In all, he scored 133 goals in 350 games in the Soviet league. He was appointed to the team of the Soviet national ice hockey team. On January 7, 1955, he was in a game against Sweden for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with the gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games 1956. For the national team, he scored 26 goals in 91 internationals. On March 10, 1963 he played his last international match. In 1956 he was inducted into the "Russian Hockey Hall of Fame". In 2004 he was honored with induction into the IIHF Hall of Fame.
