Nikolaus Ager

Nicolas Ager (also d' Agerius ) (* 1568 in Itenheim, Alsace, † 20 June 1634 in Strasbourg ) was a French botanist.

Life

Nicolas Ager studied in Basel, but his doctorate in Strasbourg, where he is also professor of medicine and botany was 1618. He also dealt with zoophytes, dietary issues and mental illness. The Paederota Ageria is named after him.
