Nikos Papazoglou

Nikos Papazoglou (Greek Νίκος Παπάζογλου, born March 20, 1948 in Thessaloniki, † April 17, 2011 ) was a Greek singer and composer. His songs - some written itself, and partly by other composers or lyricists, including especially Manolis Rasoulis ( Μανώλης Ρασούλης ) and Nikos Xydakis ( Νίκος Ξυδάκης ) - are among the most famous in his homeland. Since the mid- 1980s Papazoglou released six LPs and CDs and has participated in many projects with other musicians.

His musical development began in the 1970s when he performed with a band in the style of Aphrodite 's Child at several festivals, including in Germany. Stylistically Papazoglous is to classify music in the border area between traditional Greek and Asia Minor music and modern pop and rock music. Some CDs have been added by bouzouki and Baglamas recorded with "western " occupation, ie drums, electric guitar and bass. Others were recorded exclusively with acoustic instruments. The lyrics of his songs - although very poetic, metaphorical and not easily accessible - very well known and are often hymn -like singing along from the audience. Papazoglous optical recognition signs at public appearances was a red bandana.

Among the most famous songs by Papazoglou include Κανείς εδώ δεν τραγουδά ( Kanis edo the Tragouda / Nobody sings here ), Ένα κι ένα κάνουν ένα ( ki ena ena ena kanoun / one and one makes one) and Μάτια μου ( Matia mou / My Eyes ).
