Nilfisk -Advance is a company for cleaning equipment with headquarters in Brøndby, Denmark.

Has production facilities in Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Singapore, China, Italy, Mexico and the United States and sales offices in 36 countries and distributors in 70 countries. In 2013 the company achieved a turnover of 881 million euros with 5,300 employees worldwide. Nilfisk -Advance is part of the NKT Holding Group, which is traded on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. The Nilfisk -Advance GmbH Germany is the German subsidiary of the Nilfisk -Advance Group and is represented by six brands on the market: Nilfisk -ALTO in Bell Mountain, Nilfisk -ALTO carwash, Nilfisk Consumer, Nilfisk- CFM, Nilfisk- Egholm and Nilfisk professional with seat in Rellingen.

Currently, the Nilfisk -Advance GmbH Germany employs around 400 people.

History

P. A. Fisker and H. M. Nielsen founded in 1906, the company Nilfisk. The first vacuum cleaner with the name of C1 arrived in 1910 on the market. In 1954, the company had sold over a million Nilfisk vacuum cleaner and brought the world's first scrubber on the market.

Nilfisk acquired in 1988 by the Danish company GERNI and was taken over in 1989 by the NKT Group. The company introduced in 1990 a the world's first Aufsitzmodell and took over four years later, which was founded in 1925, Advance Machine Company (USA) and the German floor cleaning specialist Schwamborn Construction GmbH. The group changed its name to Nilfisk -Advance in 1998. In the same year the Euro Clean / Kent from the Electrolux Group was acquired.

Nilfisk -Advance took over in 1999, 70% of the vacuum cleaner manufacturer CFM REITEK and acquired the remaining 30 % in 2000. The takeover of the company Ecologica and ALTO took place in 2004. Since the acquisition of ALTO the traditional technology brand Wap is an integral part of the products of Bell Berger cleaning specialists Nilfisk -ALTO. Further acquisitions were held with U.S. Products, 2007 with the Viper group and 2008 with Hydra Master in 2006.

Nilfisk- Advance A / S took over in 2011, the Danish company Egholm Maskiner A / S, Jungo Voirie, Hecker & Brian. With the acquisition of the manufacturer of street sweepers and equipment racks for applications such as winter maintenance or lawn maintenance cleaning specialist has expanded its portfolio of exterior cleaning.

  • Nilfisk -ALTO has a product range of high pressure cleaners, Nass-/Trockensaugern and floor cleaning machines, stationary equipment as well as cleaning and maintenance products. It depends, inter alia, self service car wash, car wash and car washes are used.
  • Nilfisk Consumer is a service of cleaning devices for the consumer ( high pressure cleaners, wet and dry vacuum cleaners, central Haussauganlagen, spray extraction, steam cleaners ).
  • Nilfisk includes professional cleaning solutions for customers in the areas of building cleaning, industrial, institutions and communities.   • Nilfisk- CFM, a brand of industrial vacuum cleaners and industrial suction technology, formed from the merger of Nilfisk -Advance and CFM in 2002. It includes standard equipment for AC and three-phase area, special machinery for oil extraction and pneumatic vacuum cleaners, specialty sucker for the chemical, pharmaceutical or extraction and high-performance vacuum cleaners.
  • Nilfisk- Egholm includes machines for use in road sweeping and winter service and the maintenance of green areas.

Naming

The company name is composed of several parts: Nilfisk was born when the founders PA Fisker as a partner H. M. Nielsen recorded in the company. Since the company Nielsen & Fisker did not fit on the teletex form, the company was quickly changed to Nilfisk. In order to keep the well-known in the United States the name Advance even after the acquisition of the U.S. Advance Machine Company, he was finally taken in 1998 in the company.
