Nils Olav

Nils Olav is a male King Penguin living in Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland. He's mascot and honorary colonel of the Royal Guard of Norway.

On 15 August 2008 he attended the Royal Guard of Norway and was beaten by the Norwegian King Harald V knighted. Since then, the Penguin is titled Sir Nils Olav II

Since the 1970s, cherishes the Norwegian Guard, due to their participation in the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, a special relationship with the penguins of Edinburgh, and an eponymous ancestor of Nils Olav was added to the regiment. After his death, Nils Olav II, who succeeded.
