Musical philosophy

Wogran music is deeply rooted in the jazz tradition. Nevertheless, he tries to extend this language by using musical materials that do not come from the jazz. These include other forms of rhythm, form and melodic and harmonic material. Nils Wogram is a fan of "real band " with its own ensemble sound. Most of his formations have existed for many years. Nils Wogram believes that the best music is played by solid bands / ensembles. As a bandleader, therefore, are his great idols Duke Ellington and Miles Davis.
