Nina Ananiashvili
Nino Ananiashvili (Georgian ნინო ანანიაშვილი; Russian Нина Гедевановна Ананиашвили / Nina Gedewanowna Ananiashvili; born March 28, 1963 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian ballerina. At the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow she became an international superstar. Since September 2004 she is the artistic director of the Georgian National Ballet.
Life
It comes from a Georgian aristocratic family, is the daughter of a geologist and a linguist. Because she was a sickly child, she started four years ago to skate. In 1973 she was Georgian youth champion in figure skating, but then switched to ballet.
At the State School of Choreography of Georgia met her at Tamara Wichodzewa and Vakhtang Chabukiani. In 1976 she entered the Choreographic Institute, the school of the Bolshoi Ballet, a.
