Nina Bocharova

Nina Antonovna Botscharowa (Russian Нина Антоновна Бочарова; * September 24, 1924 in Supruniwka, Poltava Oblast ) is a former Soviet gymnast. She went to the club Stroitel Kiev and debuted at the national level in 1948. The highlight of her career experienced Botscharowa early 1950s. At the Summer Olympics in Helsinki in 1952, she won two gold next three silver medals. In the two years later held World Championships in Artistic Gymnastics in Rome, she was able to repeat the all-around victory with the team. Following the tournament, she finished just six years after their active sports career.

When in the year 2004 was the Olympic torch relay for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens through Ukraine, Botscharowa was there one of many torchbearers.
