Nina Foch
Nina Foch ( born April 20, 1924 as Nina Consuelo Maud Fock in Leiden, South Holland, † December 5, 2008 in Los Angeles ) was an American film and theater actress of Dutch origin.
Biography
Nina Foch was the daughter of Dutch composer Dirk Fock and the singer and actress Consuelo Flowerton, which was known in the United States during the First World War. Nina grew, though born in Holland, in Manhattan. She had dual citizenship of the Netherlands and the United States.
Prior to her career in film and theater itself Foch tried as a pianist as well as an amateur painter. However, they soon realized that acting was her true passion. She studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and in 1943 signed with Columbia Pictures her first contract. Her film debut was in the 18- minute Western Wagon Wheels West.
Many actors are first known in the theater and later in television and film, with Foch, it was vice versa. It was not until 1947, she made her debut on Broadway. Her most famous role was that of Cordelia there in 1950 for the performance brought production of King Lear.
Her film career was, with few exceptions, limited to television serials and B-movies. Among her best-known films include the 1956 film produced Bible The Ten Commandments and four years later turned historical film Spartacus. 1955 Nina Foch was nominated for her role in The intriguers for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

The actor Michael Dewell she was married from 1966 to 1993. She lived most recently in Beverly Hills, California.
Nina Foch's filmmaking has been honored with two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
