Nina Yevteyeva

Nina Alexandrovna Jewtejewa (Russian Нина Александровна Евтеева, * November 24, 1982 in Omsk ) is a Russian Shorttrackerin.

Life

Since 1998 it belongs to the Russian national team and starts for the club Dynamo Omsk. Their first international championship they played in the World Cup 2000 in Sheffield, where she took rank 28 in the all around. A year later she made her debut in The Hague and at the European Championships in 2001 where she was simultaneously win her first international medal with bronze in the relay. Jewtejewa participated in Salt Lake City at the 2002 Olympics. About 500 m she left in the run, over 1000 m they reached the quarter-finals, above 1500 m the semi-finals.

In the season 2002/ 03 they finally celebrated its first successes in the World Cup, she won her first World Cup season with the race. Your first medals in individual races she reached at the home European Championship 2003 in Saint Petersburg. In the all-around and above 1000 m and 1500 m respectively, she won bronze and silver in the relay. In the 2003 /04 season Jewtejewa placed about 1500 m for the first time in a single race on a World Cup podium. At the European Championships in Zoetermeer, she was with the squadron also the first European Champion. Also over 1000 meters, she won the bronze medal. In the season 2004/ 05 she won her second World Cup race of the season. At the European Championships in Turin, she defended the title in the relay competition and won over 1500 m and 3000 m respectively bronze.

Less good was the season 2005/06. Although she reached the first World Cup over 3000 m as third again the podium, qualified team internally but not for the other highlights of the season and missed the Olympic Games in Turin. Jewtejewa returned only in the 2007/ 08 season back on track. With the season they reached a World Cup podium one more time. At the European Championships in Ventspils, they also won four medals, bronze in the all around, above 1000 m and 3000 m and 1500 m for the first time on silver. In the World Team Championships in Harbin, she took with her teammates eighth.

Jewtejewa won her most recent medal at the 2010 European Championships in Dresden. With the season they won silver. She qualified for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. In their second game they started over two distances, over 1000 m, it was eliminated in the flow and the 1500m, she reached the semi-finals. At the first World Cup of the season 2011/12 Jewtejewa reached as third in the relay again a podium in a World Cup race.
