Ninja Tune

Ninja Tune is a London-based independent record label.

History and orientation

The label was founded in 1990 by the group Coldcut ( Matt Black and Jonathan More). It is known for its cross-genre publications and was able to achieve over the years by signing the highly individual and innovative artists worldwide cult status.

Despite many different styles from areas such as Down Beat, Breakbeat, Hip- Hop, Easy Listening Electro experimental or the label bears some handwriting and is already considered by many almost as a genre.

Further areas of

Ninja Tune performs the two sub-label N- Tone ( specializing in electronic music) and Big Dada ( specialist in alternative hip- hop).

Another artist platform of the label is the project Solid Steel, which is the same radio show, various live events and mix CD releases since 1988.
